Seeds of Liberation: Italian Heirlooms

This collection honors the spirit of resistance, resilience, and renewal. Driftless Seed Supply co-founder Dylan Bruce draws deep inspiration from his grandfather, John Tedeschi, who fled fascist Italy in the 1930s, eventually finding a peaceful home by founding their family farm in Wisconsin with his wife, Anne.

Today, we continue that legacy by growing and sharing Italian heirloom varieties that celebrate freedom, culture, and connection to the land. We strive to adapt Italian heirlooms to Northern US production, and develop our own varieties of Italian market classes when the heirlooms are not adapted enough to our short seasons and humid conditions.
