Purple di Milpa Tomatillo is a vibrant heirloom variety celebrated for its rich color, sweet-tart flavor, and reliable productivity in the home garden. These striking tomatillos develop glossy violet fruits that add bold visual appeal and exceptional taste to salsas, sauces, and roasted dishes. Known for its strong plants and consistent yields, Purple Di Milpa thrives in warm climates and produces firm, aromatic fruits through the growing season.

Transplant. Sow indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost date. Vigorous plants benefit from some trellising to keep foliage and fruit off the ground. Plants cannot self-pollinate, so at least 2 plants (and preferably more) are needed for successful harvests. Harvest when husks are full and beginning to burst apart for optimal texture and tart flavor. Nothing beats tomatillo salsa!
