Tall and sturdy sorghum variety with a high sugar content in the sap, making it an excellent choice for sorghum syrup! Sorghum is an excellent low maintenance and multi-functional crop to add to your garden this growing season. It's cane can grow up to 12' tall and will produce seed heads that turn honey-red when mature. This sorghum is drought hardy and performs quite well in the heat of summer. 

Sorghum can be direct seeded or transplanted. To direct seed plant ¼" deep, 6-8" apart in rows 12" apart after last frost. Thin to 8-12". To Transplant, plant seeds in plug trays ¼" below medium 6 weeks before last frost. Transplant 8-2" in rows 12" apart.

Lot # CE-OG-1168-2022: Produced by Cody Egan in Decorah, IA in 2022. Certified organic. Tested at 73% germination in February 2026. Packed to pure live seed to account for lower germ - i.e. 137+ seeds in a packet instead of 100, or 1.37 lbs instead of 1.

All sales are final and we do not accept returns or exchanges except in the case of delivering the wrong item or recalling specific seed lots due to contamination. For wholesale customers who purchase our pre-filled bundles, we will provide a credit for the following season’s order for any packets returned by October 1st.
