Boothby’s Blonde is a delightful heirloom cucumber from Maine, prized over generations for its creamy-yellow to pale blonde skin, crisp texture, and sweet flavor. The fruits are oval, warty, and sport tiny black spines, and are best harvested at about 4" length when tender and flavorful. Because the skin is thin and mild, peeling is unnecessary. This variety excels both fresh and pickled, with consistent production and charm in the garden.

Transplant or direct seed after danger of frost. When starting indoors, transplant at 1st or 2nd true leaf. Cover against pests from planting until flowering if possible. Slicers can benefit from trellising for more uniform fruits and less disease. Harvest early and often at 5-7" for best flavor and to prolong your harvest.
