Purple Coneflower Echinacea Native Forb - Organic

100 Days to Maturity (first year). Certified Organic.

Stunning pinkish-purple petals that pollinators love. A prairie favorite. A long history of medicinal use, especially the roots. 

Transplant or direct seed. Sow seeds in early spring or late fall in sunny location with well-draining soil. Transplant in spring after danger of hard freezes. Seedlings should germinate within 2-4 weeks. If started indoors in late winter, flowers may bloom the first year.

Lot # JSS-OG-1139B-2026: Purchased in bulk from Johnny's Selected Seeds in 2026. Certified Organic. Tested at 92% germination in March of 2026. Purchased due to a crop failure in our own planting, which takes 2 years to yield seed. 

Lot # CO-OG-1139B-2024: Grown by Circadian Organics in Ferryville, WI in 2024 from plants started in 2019. Certified Organic. Germination tests pending.

All sales are final and we do not accept returns or exchanges except in the case of delivering the wrong item or recalling specific seed lots due to contamination. For wholesale customers who purchase our pre-filled bundles, we will provide a credit for the following season’s order for any packets returned by October 1st.
